Moss Removal for Artificial Turf – Safe, Effective, and Professional
Moss growth is common in shaded, damp, or poorly draining artificial turf — especially on putting greens, mini courts, and older installations. Moss not only affects the look of your lawn but also creates slip hazards, traps moisture, and blocks airflow through the turf fibres.
At TurfGlo, we offer a professional moss removal service using a power brush and vacuum extraction system that removes up to 80–90% of moss safely and effectively — without damaging the turf.

Key Benefits
- Removes buildup that blocks drainage and ventilation
- Reduces slip risks and improves safety
- Aerates turf fibres, improving airflow and surface drying
- Visibly enhances turf appearance and longevity
- Helps prevent regrowth when done annually
- Ideal for shaded or moss-prone areas such as:
- Backyard putting greens
- Mini basketball courts
- Turf near trees, fences, or damp soil zones
What Property Professionals Say
Our Process

Optional Moss Kill Treatment (Caution Advised)
Upon request, we can apply a moss-kill solution (e.g. Bulls Eye) after mechanical removal. However:
- Full effectiveness can take 7–10 days
- Not recommended where pets or children access the turf
- Residual actives are biodegradable within 60 days, but contact risk exists if licked or ingested
- Citronella may be included as a light deterrent, but safety cannot be guaranteed
If we cannot ensure safe conditions post-treatment, we recommend mechanical removal only.
How Often?
We recommend scheduling moss removal once per year to maintain turf health in shaded or moisture-prone areas.
