TurfGlo ATP Service™ – Scientifically Verified Clean
At TurfGlo, we don’t just clean artificial grass — we verify it.
Our exclusive TurfGlo ATP Service™ uses scientific hygiene testing to confirm cleaning effectiveness and provide you with measurable results. This service is ideal for clients who require not just clean turf, but proof it’s clean — backed by real data.
What Is ATP Testing?
ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) is a molecule found in all living organisms. Its presence on synthetic turf can indicate contamination from bacteria, pet waste, food residue, or biofilm.
Using hospital-grade luminometer equipment, we measure ATP levels on turf surfaces before and after our sanitisation process. The results are delivered in Relative Light Units (RLU) within seconds, giving you a clear hygiene snapshot.

How the TurfGlo ATP Service™ Works
- Pre-Clean Test
A surface swab is taken prior to treatment to establish a baseline reading. - Post-Clean Test
After applying TurfGlo Shield™ (our hospital-grade sanitiser) and rinsing, we re-test the same area. - Verification Certificate (Optional)
We provide clients with a TurfGlo Verified Clean Certificate™, showing before-and-after results — ideal for compliance and quality assurance.

What’s Included in the Certificate?
- Test location and service date
- Pre- and post-clean RLU values

Disclaimer – Environmental Factors & Test Conditions
ATP testing provides an indicative hygiene reading based on a sampled test area. Results may vary due to:
- Weather conditions(e.g. temperature, moisture, UV)
- Surface conditions(wet, dry, shaded)
- Normal variance in organic load across turf zones
TurfGlo follows a consistent, controlled testing protocol to maximise reliability. However, ATP testing measures organic matter, not pathogens, and should not be used as a substitute for lab-based microbiological testing.
