FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you have a question? Find answer here

Will power brushing make my artificial turf blades stand up again — and is it permanent?
Yes — power brushing significantly improves the appearance of flattened artificial turf by lifting blades and removing embedded debris, moss, weeds, and compacted material. Furniture, play equipment, and bins can also weigh turf down.

Our brushing process:

Lifts compacted fibres
Dislodges debris and surface growth
Improves turf drainage and appearance
However, the result is not permanent. In high-traffic areas, blades may eventually settle again. Regular brushing and mindful turf use help prolong the lifted effect.
Does adding infill help keep artificial turf blades upright?
Yes — during installation, infill is typically applied to fill 30–50% of the turf fibre height, depending on the product. This helps:

Support blades and reduce matting
Anchor turf in place
Enhance drainage and durability
If installed correctly, infill rarely needs topping up. Power brushing usually restores turf condition without needing additional infill.
How often should I apply TurfGlo Enzyme™ at home?
For best results:

Every 2–4 weeks for pet-heavy or high-traffic areas
Monthly for moderate use
After rain or strong odours, to refresh and sanitise
Immediately after organic spills or pet accidents
TurfGlo Enzyme™ breaks down odour-causing bacteria and organic matter between professional cleans. It’s ideal for maintaining turf freshness with minimal effort.
How often should I clean my artificial turf professionally?
We recommend:

Every 3 months for pet areas or high-traffic zones
Every 6 months for low-use turf
Monthly or quarterly for commercial or child care clients
Regular cleaning prevents odours, bacteria build-up, and long-term wear.
Do you use infill as part of your cleaning process?
No. Our process does not rely on infill. If your turf already has infill, we’ll assess its condition and provide recommendations. In most cases, brushing is enough to restore structure and appearance.
What is ATP testing, and is it necessary?
ATP testing is an optional surface hygiene test used in high-sensitivity environments like child care centres or pet facilities. It measures organic residue to confirm professional sanitation.
Is TurfGlo safe for pets and children?
Yes — our services and products are biodegradable, non-toxic, and child/pet safe. No harsh chemicals or artificial masking agents are used.
How long before I can use the turf again after cleaning?
Turf is usually safe to use again within 1–2 hours, once it has dried. The surface may be slippery immediately after cleaning, so allow time to dry fully before resuming use.
Can I clean the turf myself instead of booking a service?
Yes — we offer TurfGlo Enzyme™ as a DIY product for light maintenance. For odour-heavy or compacted areas, we recommend professional cleaning.
Can I set up a regular turf maintenance schedule?
Yes. We offer:

Quarterly or bi-monthly plans for residential clients
Monthly or customised plans for commercial, pet care, and child care clients
Do you clean in wet or cold weather?
Yes — most services can proceed in cooler or damp conditions. If heavy rain interferes, we’ll reschedule promptly.
What areas do you service?
We currently operate in Melbourne and Brisbane. If you're outside these zones, please contact us — we may be able to assist or refer you.
Will cleaning remove odours permanently?
Our treatments eliminate odour-causing bacteria and organic matter at the source. However, in pet-heavy areas, ongoing maintenance is essential. Most clients notice a dramatic improvement after the first service.
Do you clean balconies, rooftops, or smaller spaces?
Yes — we clean turf on balconies, rooftops, patios, and tight-access spaces.

Note: A water tap and drain access are required on-site to manage run-off safely.
Do you remove weeds and moss during the service?
Yes — power brushing removes light moss, weeds, and organic build-up. For deeper weed penetration or regrowth issues, we can advise on next steps.
Can I walk my dog on the turf right after it’s cleaned?
Yes — once the turf is dry (typically within 1–2 hours), it’s safe for pets. A simple hand-check is all you need before letting them back on.
Do you service child care centres, schools, or sports facilities?
Yes — we offer tailored service plans for:

Child care centres
Schools and playgrounds
Pet day cares and commercial turf sites
ATP testing and compliance documentation available upon request.
